What is changing

Department filtering on our API subscription is being updated. This update will run a batch update for all client and partner subscriptions (POST calls) to remove Department filters that were added by athena in the 22.1 release.

Why we’re making the change

In 22.1, a batch update was released to add department filtering on our subscription changed APIs to reduce necessary transactions per customer while also reducing strain on our API infrastructure. After further review, the department filters did not provide enough of the intended value to our customers and thus the batch update will be removed. To implement the update, athenahealth will run a batch update for all client and partner subscriptions (POST calls) to remove Department filters on our API subscription that were added by athena in the 22.1 release.

Note: Department filters that were implemented manually will not be affected. Filters can still be implemented on our subscription for changed APIs moving forward, however, these must be added via your developer team.
